We developed this nine-credit-hour program for construction industry professionals looking to broaden their skills. Courses help you qualify or maintain licensure and offer a comprehensive perspective of project management. Courses can be completed 100% online or in a hybrid format.

This certificate presents a holistic look at managing all project stages:

Three courses cover:

  • Risks that could potentially derail a construction project.
  • Sustainability practices in construction.
  • Safety and quality control concerns.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Pre-design skills, including estimating, budgeting, planning and negotiating.

  • Collaborating with architects, designers, engineers and contractors.

Students who complete the Advanced Certificate will have already met 3 of the 4 required core courses if they choose to earn a Master of Science in Construction Engineering Management.

CE506 Advanced Construction Engineering

Knowing the fundamentals and having a few years of on-the-job experience aren鈥檛 enough. Learn to combine professional and technical expertise to provide the highest level of quality to clients and the public.

CE591 Special Topics in Construction Engineering Management

A complete application consists of the following:

  • 搁茅蝉耻尘茅.
  • Statement of purpose.
  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • Official transcripts.
  • GRE test scores: Not required.
  • For international applicants, an English proficiency test is required.
    • Minimum test score requirements: TOEFL (80) and TOEFL Essentials (8.5), IELTS (6.5), PTE (56) or Duolingo English Test (115).
    • The English language-testing requirement is not waived based on language of instruction, nor do we accept university certificates. English testing is waived if an applicant has a degree from a country where English is the Native Language. Click here to see the list of these countries.

Prerequisites: BS/BA or equivalent.
