Biography
Rachel Dellis is a dynamic instructional design professional with extensive experience in higher education. With a background spanning instructional design, program development, enrollment management, and institutional leadership, Rachel brings a comprehensive understanding of the educational ecosystem to her work.
As an instructional designer, Rachel has collaborated with faculty from dozens of universities to develop innovative online courses and micro-credential programs. Her expertise in adult learning theories, course quality assessment, and emerging educational technologies has contributed to exceptional faculty satisfaction rates and best-in-class program development. Rachel has successfully designed and implemented over 40 undergraduate, graduate, and professional development courses.
Beyond instructional design, Rachel has served in leadership roles focused on student success and institutional effectiveness. As Assistant Vice President for Campus Engagement, she worked to enhance learning environments for non-traditional students while driving enrollment growth. Her experience in enrollment management and student advising has given her
valuable insights into the student journey and the importance of accessible, engaging course design.
Rachel is currently pursuing her Doctor of ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ degree at Northeastern University. She is a certified Quality Matters Peer Reviewer and remains at the forefront of instructional design best practices and the ethical application of emerging technologies like generative AI in educational contexts.
At Clarkson, Rachel is developing microcredentials as part of the NYS Workforce Development and RECI grant programs.
She lives in Austin, Texas with her doxiepoo, Grover.
